INGENIO will hold the OSIRIS meeting in Valencia
INGENIO will hold the OSIRIS partners meeting which is going to be in Valencia between 21th and 25th of March. This meeting will gather 23 attendees.
The Oslo Institute for Research on the Impact of Science (OSIRIS) is an international research centre that brings together different disciplines relevant for understanding research impact. OSIRI'S perspective is to look at the process of research impact primarily from the user side: How can we characterise the process through which research makes an impact in society?
Since 2016, OSIRIS is conducting an study about and under what circumstances research produces effects in society at large – in a way that generates new insights and helps policymakers, users and research organisations to better contribute to generating impact. This study will last untill 2024. Pablo D'Este, Richard Wooley, Jordi Molas, Elena Castro, David Barberá and Davide Consoli are members of this research partnership.
The main goal of OSIRIS is to become an internationally leading centre for studies of the impacts of research and to look under what conditions research may have an impact on society. It brings together cross-disciplinary expertise for a concentrated, long-term effort.
OSIRIS is funded by the Research Council of Norway§s ForInnPol programme, it is hosted and led by TIK Centre for Technology, Innovation and Culture at the University of Oslo, and it is carried out in partnership with Statistics Norway (SSB), INGENIO at the Polytechnic University of Valencia and MIOIR at the University of Manchester.
