Today, Social Innovation is considered as an important element to face the difficulties and challenges that European society is facing. In this context, universities have sufficient capacity to mobilise resources that contribute not only to transmit knowledge, but also to create socio-economic value through the knowledge transfer of their teaching and research results. However, social innovation has not received the attention it deserves in the Spanish universities in comparison with other European universities. The main objective of the CUPISEC project is to analyse the degree of involvement of Spanish universities in social innovation projects associated with education and culture.
