Future Agricultural Resource Management and Water Innovations for a Sustainable Europe

English

The FARMWISE project will develop improved tools based on artificial intelligence (AI) for more efficient European water policy and decision-making founded on research-based technologies to solve the most burning water pollution problems. For this purpose, the FARMWISE consortium brings together the best European water, agricultural, climate and AI researchers to handle the sustainability of water resources, the natural environment, and efficient agriculture in the highly diverse European landscape in view of present and future climate change.
FARMWISE understands that its objective is immersed in a diversity of actors, territories and disciplines. The INGENIO Institute (CSIC-Universitat Politècnica de València) is in charge of WP 1 which includes generating a mapping of the different stakeholders in the innovations generated, from a multi-actor, transdisciplinary and system perspective that simplifies the complexity that characterizes the current challenges of agriculture and water.
With these concrete results, it is expected to increase the impact of innovations, improving the capacities of the actors involved, and creating information-based tools for decision making.
