Doctora en Derechos Humanos y Democracia por la Universidad de Valencia. Catedrática de la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (UPV) y subdirectora del Instituto de Investigación Ingenio (CSIC-UPV). Profesora Extraordinaria de la Universidad del Estado Libre (Sudáfrica). Lidera el componente de evaluación formativa del Transformative Innovation Policy Consortium (TIPC), un consorcio internacional de los principales institutos de investigación europeos y de los países nacionales que trabajan en políticas de ciencia, tecnología e innovación. Más de 130 publicaciones internacionales y nacionales en las siguientes áreas: desarrollo humano, innovación social, educación, participación, tecnología y sostenibilidad (artículos, libros y capítulos de libros). Investigación relevante en educación superior, innovación social y de base en el ámbito de la energía, la alimentación y el sector digital. Experta en el uso de metodologías participativas para codiseñar, implementar y evaluar iniciativas políticas en el ámbito de la evaluación transformadora, la educación para el desarrollo y la política participativa. Amplia experiencia y trayectoria en el ámbito de la educación para el desarrollo y la educación para la ciudadanía global.

Desde 2011-2022, IP de 14 proyectos de investigación de convocatorias de subvenciones internacionales, nacionales y locales (importe total 864.693€) y 11 contratos con instituciones públicas y privadas nacionales y locales (importe total 233.143,65€). Con una amplia red de colaboradores nacionales y con los que investiga y publica. Investigadora invitado en el Institut Mines-Telecom- Business School, Evry-Francia (2022), Universidad Autónoma Latinoamericana, Medellín-Colombia (2019), University College of London-Reino Unido (2016-2017), University of New York-Estados Unidos (2011), Erasmus University at Rotterdam-Países Bajos (2009) y University of Sussex-Reino Unido (2007).

Editora asociada del Journal of Human Development and Capabilities y del Iberoamerican Journal of Development Studies. Premiada con el University College of London Grand Challenge Prize (sept. 2019) por un compromiso significativo entre académia y profesionales.

Supervisión de 17 tesis doctorales entre 2010 y 2022 en 4 universidades diferentes. Sus doctorandos trabajan en el sector académico (como profesores asociados, conferenciantes e investigadores postdoctorales), en las administraciones locales (ayuntamiento valenciano o personal técnico en universidades), en el sector privado (empresa Ford), en el sector educativo (profesor de formación profesional) y en el tercer sector (ONG en Bélgica y España).
